"Are we there yet? Huh? Huh? How 'bout now? Are we there yet?"
That said, I found pinwheels in today's carpool car. Remember that commercial with the pig sticking his head out the window going "WHEEEE!"? Yeah....... :D
And need a Mort Endurance ride story...took my mare on our first 15 miler just to get our feet/hooves wet...loved it! You know the statement (something like) teaching WP horses to learn to move like horses? Well, we got a full-out gallop, twice...and it was just like your description of riding Mort all out. The TB came out in her...can't wait until this weekend to gallop again!!!
I keep checking back to see if it's here..... and then I realize I'm not sure if finding that it's posted would be any better. I get so excited when I see a new story, but I always read it too fast. And then it's over, and I get vaguely depressed because I know I have to wait for another one.
Agh, Becky I know exactly what you mean. I keep coming back hoping its here, but I know as soon as the story is up I'll devour it way too fast and I'll be left wanting more.
OMG. May I say, you're wasting your time over on Fugly? Some of those folks just hate everyone. We are the ones who really really appreciate you over here. You're killing us with this anticipation. I know you get paid for that blog, so I normally don't mind.
Like Becky and Cycle I'll read the post about Talley like a speed reader. But I'll read it slower the second or third time.
I am missing my comfortable little blog, believe me. Time can only tell if my new job is worth the effort. Unfortunately, it's not the job tying me up, it's life.
I used to love reading fhotd but never even bothered with the comments, there was too much trash to wade through. I think you're taking out the trash, so to speak, Mugs. Hang in there! I see v2.0 being both more intelligent and meaningful :) While I continue to hold my breath for the new post, could you point me in the direction of a good quality bosal that won't break the bank? Doesn't need to be show quality, just a good using piece.
Tally stories are always ah ha moments for me. Mort stories remind me of my first horse and the crazy things I did that should have gotten us both killed. Keep them coming. Hope things settle soon so we can here, ...the rest of the story. :)
Hey, FHOTD seems to have come to a screeching halt, and Cathy mentioned on Twitter that it's been sold again. Can you comment on that situation at all?
Despite having taken shots at some of your posts there, I sincerely hope that the FHOTD blog isn't dead and that you're still writing for it.
wow, read all the tally chapters, very nice writing. i have a TB gelding named tally. exact opposite personality in every way from your tally = kind of like a yin and yang, maybe they balance out.

ReplyDeleteI just found this blog and the Tally stories, how to find all of the previous ones to read?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous - the tags are a bit scattered, but you'll find them under the labels:
ReplyDelete"Scared or Mad"
and
"Scared or Mad/Tally"
and
"Tally"
Thank you!!

ReplyDeleteOr you could just post what you have written...we are used to your cliffhangers....

Hey Mugs
ReplyDeleteI am impatient too but a Tally chapter is worth waiting for.. appreciate that you are not going to post it until you are satisfied that it is right.
this was almost cruel... hope things get better for you soon, i'm so excited about another chapter!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait. I like the insight you give to us through these posts. I need the information quite frequently.
ReplyDeleteMugs, I think we totally have different definitions of the word "almost" :)

ReplyDeleteI agree with Stasha :D
ReplyDeleteHas anyone noticed that Mugs doesn't seem to be writing the fugly blog any more? At least not the last two posts.
ReplyDeleteMugs, where have you gone? We miss you!
ReplyDeleteHope you're alright Mugs!
