  3. Merry Christmas! Riding I wish. Snow, ice, more snow coming here. On top of frozen mud. Ah well, it's nice to put them in, all snug and warm, and dream of better weather.

  4. My Christmas present...another Appendix QH! 7 year old gelding, owned by one owner, not mind-fked, spook free (except for the mini-horses :). I wanted a second trail horse to take my hubby along with me, and I found this guy. Yeah! I always wanted a horse for Christmas!!!

    Happy Holidays to you all!

  6. Merry Christmas Mugs! I would like to go riding, but I am a fair weather rider, and 30 degrees out with a 20mph winds is a little too chilly for me!! I know that its colder other places, thats why I don't live there!! LOL Hope you have a great day!!

  9. I got the very best Christmas present. I ended up with a sick, very skinny December coming home from the trainer's where she was a lesson horse a couple months ago. Two months of putting weight on her and figuring out what was going on and she's happy and healthy. She looks like a normal horse again and I got to ride her this weekend. We had two days of awesome weather and the trails dried up enough to ride. She makes an awesome trail horse even when she's out by herself! We did some light arena work too and she's a high headed mess but I think I can tune her up pretty quick. My riding has changed so much over the last year and I've really gotten my strength and confidence back.

My husband has agreed to let me keep her as a pasture pet if I want and I think she might actually end up being a nice trail horse for him now that I think I know why she was so grumpy before. I think she gets ulcers...but that is totally treatable!

  10. Thanks Mugs. :) This is the second time she's come to me in bad shape and I've fixed her up again. I was angry and heartbroken when I had to pick her up but I learned a lot about myself. Have you ever noticed how hard it is in spite of yourself not to love something you are required to care for? I figure maybe the world is trying to tell me something and she will always be my responsibility for better or worse. At least I think she's my favorite to ride right now. Who would have thought..?
