Hey Old Fogies!

I have a writing opportunity, (well, I'm going to apply anyway) and it is possibly a good fit for me and my horse stories.

Do you mind giving a Mugwump a hand?

Tell me your favorite story from Mugwump Chronicles, or two or three, or a hundred.

My submission needs to be about  500 words, so I can't submit Sonita or Tally's whole story.
Think on it and let me know?

Yes, I have another post, the last one I wrote was depressing, so I saved it back until I come up with a better way to present it. I'm almost done with this next one.

  3. Shoot, so excited I published before I was finished. February 24, 2009. It's probably too long but I love "Although they would have lost a race with a pleasure horse, they still increased speed with every stride and stopped clean. They slid a good three or four feet. Tiny little eleven's."

  4. You have a lot, but the one that popped into my mind (and I can't give you the name, etc.) is the one about your daughter riding her old horse in a competition and doing you proud :)

  5. Speaking of Tally... the last post we have about her is about the show in Amarillo. Can you lay out the rest of her story at some point please?

  6. Snocone's adoption story is one of the most poignant things I've read anywhere, in any format.

  9. The story about Cupcake and Stacey, poor, stupid, well-intentioned ignorant Stacey. It's a modern day Black Beauty in miniature. I know you can carve it down to 500 words, and have it hit the mark like an arrow.

  11. I always remember where you took Sonita to the Garden of the Gods national park and experimented with letting her set the pace, to build trust. That was a wonderful read.
I'd love to find out what happened with Tally in the end.
