Much harder work than we have in the rolling prairie for sure.<br /><br />Wonderful to know that kids are kids from generation to generation in some respects though. I can remember laying back on my saddle with my head on my horse's rump and looking at the beautiful blue sky and all of the interesting clouds when I was little too. I rode yesterday for the first...Totally off topic!!<br />I rode yesterday for the first time in a year and a half. I got on after my surgery, freaked out and bailed, and never tried again. So my horse, who is basically just "track broke" was a really great boy for the most part ... until headed in the direction of the trailer. He kept rushing and half-heartedly bolting which was freaking me out all over again (i have lost so much confidence. It's pathetic). <br />I used your method of turning into the fence rather than hauling on his face and you know what? IT WORKED and it only took two turns for him to march sedately like a good boy.
