Yo! It's me, Mugs

Hi guys. It's been a while. Don't feel too neglected, I haven't been writing at all. Not even thank you notes and I owe a few.
My return is going to be marked by change. I still think of things I'd like to write about, but I don't, because I don't think in my old old format.
For the past year, I've been moving.
Moving forward, thank goodness, but at a snails pace.
I realized, that in order to keep writing, I have to write about my current life, the one filled with a husband who has been ravaged by a stroke, and learning, observing and training dogs. I have to write about my new reality, Parkinson's Disease, the Vaudeville slapstick routine it has made of my existence and of course, the horses, but it's so very different now.
It's taken me a bit to accept this.

Yep. This is my new house. We have almost 10 acres. My barn and fence are in progress. I will finally have my horses, my dogs and my husband in the same place. If you look close, you can see my studio.

Life is good.
Talk to you soon.

I may or may not have been obsessively checking for updates every day for the last three months.

We'll be here when you're ready.

YAY! Like hearing from an old best friend after a long separation. Take good care. Write when you can. On my ride today we commiserated about the difficulty it is facing the changes a sick much loved hubby requires. Time to grow up some more on my part. Always have you in my mind as a mentor and a trailblazer. And I have learned so much from you about dogs. Who else would teach me with such passionate questioning and answering. hugs hugs hugs

Thank goodness you're back...I was worried! I hoped you were okay, but was concerned that you weren't.

Hey lady! I've moved too. It's alright. Life doesn't always turn out as we plan -like why do we even bother planning -- but it's okay! Congratulations on your new place!! Be well, good to hear from you, and I'll read anything you write. Heck put up your grocery list and I'll read it.

I'm one of the lurkers. Not even sure if I ever even posted anything. But in this case, I have to post - to say I'm glad to have you back! You are the most even-tempered, common-sense, realistic horse blogger in the world of the internet. Thanks so much for coming back to us!

Oh, congratulations on (almost) having the horses at home! There's nothing better than being able to see them from your very own window.

Congrats on the new diggin's! Good to see it's been gettin' all your ducks in one place that has kept you from posting, I was gettin' a mite worried. Live well and we who rarely comment will be here to read whatever you gift us with. Life, indeed, is good.

Hi Mugs,
Just wondering if you could just drop us a line and tell us that the Tally thing ended up okay? You don't have to do the story, but I have wondered and worried over Tim and Tally for the longest time.

Quick note from the Australian: After 5 years not riding at all, have had first Western riding lesson on a reining trained QH called Joe. It's doing my body and head in (like upside down and back to front of "English"!) but it's so interesting - and I'm thinking of all the things I've learned from here about using your body to guide the horse.

Hey there - just thinking of you. I, too, would love to hear the end of Tally and Tim. Not to mention you and yours!!! Please, just let us know you're alive, OK :)

Hi Mugs, hope you and yours are doing well. I'm one of the "lurkers" here - I seldom posted, just read. Wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your blog, and am hoping it starts up again soon.

Hey Mugs, I'm a long time reader of your blog, just never commented. But I have always thoroughly enjoyed your thoughts on horse training and your stories. I hope all is well with you and yours, and that you can return to the blog soon. You're missed.

Merry Christmas, Mugs. I'm going to assume that I may speak for us all when I say that we miss you and wish you and yours the very, very best from us and ours.

Cheers - LadyFarrier
