  3. I've seen obedience dogs in the off leash heel pattern do similiar things. Quite amusing to watch the handler keep going while Fido stands and watches :)

  7. Becky - They had a "shankless" showmanship halter class at the APHA world show. It's a fun thing. The horse and kid are supposed to do a halter pattern without a lead rope. This horse obviously wasn't into it, so the kid ran the pattern without the horse. Then the judge checked the "invisible horse" that she presented him.

  12. I had to look up the rules to see if she DQ'd.. if the horse separates more than a horse length they are.. so she handled that very well.. LOVE that the associations are going back to the FUN a little bit! Also was amused that in the rules attire cannot have bling.. I wonder how they police that! Loved this!

  14. That was completely awesome! My APHA, with his sense of humor, would do the same to me.

  15. Thought you might enjoy this. I love this commenter on the Cyberhorse (Australia) board - she certainly can write! Perhaps we should ask her to send you a Mouthy MOnday post?

    Enjoy!

  16. Just got to watch this finally. Showmanship at it's finest. I hope she at least won some sort of honorable mention for handling the situation with class.
